We lost everything we owned to Hurricane Katrina and were slow to replace things due to the quality of what was offered and what things now cost. Going through that sort of thing makes one focus on what is important in this world, and what is not.  Family, friends, faith, and quality in what you do are most important things in this world.  Good well-crafted solid chairs and a well-crafted solid table to gather around fits right into the center of this philosophy.
